MELON

Melon is one of the most important Korean music platforms, influencing domestic charts, music show rankings, and year-end awards. Chart positions on Melon are determined by a combination of downloads and streaming, making it crucial to stream consistently and purchase digital downloads when possible.

How Melon Charts Work

60% downloads + 40% streaming determine rankings.
Streaming is counted once per hour per ID (within the last 24 hours).
Downloads are counted once per song format (MP3/FLAC) per ID (FLAC is preferred).

💡 Melon no longer has a real-time chart; instead, it uses the 24Hits Chart, which updates hourly based on the past 24 hours of streaming data.

Types of Melon Charts

🔹 Daily Chart – Tracks streams/downloads in the last 24 hours, updating at 13:00 KST daily.
🔹
