Genie is one of the major Korean music platforms that contribute to domestic charting and music show scores. Proper streaming and downloads help improve rankings on real-time, daily, weekly, and monthly charts, making it essential to follow the correct streaming methods.
How Genie Charts Work
✔ 50% downloads + 50% streaming determine rankings.
✔ Streaming counts once per ID within 24 hours, but for real-time charts, every stream matters.
✔ Downloads are counted once per song format (MP3/FLAC) per ID (FLAC is preferred).

Types of Genie Charts
🔹 Real-Time Chart (실시간 차트) – Updates hourly based on streaming counts.
🔹 Daily Chart (일간 차트) – Tracks the past 24 hours but only counts one stream per ID, which may result in a lower ranking than the real-time chart.
🔹 Weekly Chart (주간 차트) – Aggregates streaming and downloads over 7 days.
🔹 Monthly Chart (월간 차트) – Tracks 30 days of data and updates at the end of each month.
